Magpies Rest sits on a steep site at Jamberoo, where Nadine K Drafting and Design set out to work with the land rather than push against it. A subtle split‑level plan reduces excavation and retaining walls, allowing the home to settle naturally into the hillside and open itself to the rural outlook. The approach gives the building a calm, grounded presence on a site that could easily have felt overworked.
LYSAGHT ENSEAM® wall cladding in Monument® anchors the home within the landscape, its broad pans and strong vertical ribs helping balance the width of the western frontage. The material choice also gives the elevations a quiet consistency that suits the rural setting. The result, built by Chris Evans Constructions, is a generously proportioned family home that holds its place without dominating the hillside it sits in.
